I am having a difficult time finding out if you can use the 32 bit enterprise
manager (or what ever it is called on SQL 2008) to connect to a 64 bit SQL
Server 2008 Database. I have some confidence that this will work but, since
I am in the process of deciding whether to go 32 bit or 64 bit, I would
    prefer to be 100% sure.

  2. Sure you can do that. As a matter of fact the client tools are only
available in 32 bit. If you run them on a client computer it will not care
what the server is and if you run it on a x64 bit but it will run in WOW but
you will not notice anything different.
