Can I do a mail merge in Word 2007 or get data in Excel 2007 from an SQL Server CE 3.5 database?

  1. If so, I can't for the life of me figure out how.

I go to select data source, then choose New Source.
After that I choose other/advanced, then choose Microsoft SQL Server Compact
    OLE DB Provider 3.5
I choose Test Connection, and voila it succeeds.

Hopefully I click the OK tab, and my tables appear. Hooray I'm thinking.

I select a table, and the problem begin.
I get a Failed Properties: Persist Security Info (NOT SETTABLE).

    Then:
Record 1 contained too few data fields
Record 2 contained too few data fields

(both a couple of times), then finally the mail merge recipients appear, but
    show up as
M__ and M__1 (not related to any fields in my tables).

    Is this impossible?
