I have 39 Resrcmon.exe processes running on each of my cluster nodes. I have
around a dozen instances between the two nodes so 39 does seems excessive.
Does it not? What are these doing?

    Thanks

  2. The resrcmon.exe processes are the resource monitors. Each process is
monitoring one or more resources and ensures that those resources remain
    healthy. More details:

Does 39 processes seem excessive? Not necessarily. Depending on your cluster
configuration, it is possible to have each one of your resources spawn a
separate resource monitor. If you look at the properties of your cluster
resources, you'll see a check box for "Run this resource in a separate
Resource Monitor". If this is checked for a resource, this will spawn a
separate resrcmon.exe process specifically for this cluster resource.
