    Hi,

I use following query to check whether the SQL Server Agent is running :
    DECLARE @flag int EXEC @flag = msdb..sp_sqlagent_notify 'G' Select @flag as
    IsRunning

I have a problem with only one customer ( SQL Entreprise ) with this part :
    EXEC msdb..sp_sqlagent_notify 'G'
I give me the message 'SQLServerAgent is not currently running so it cannot
be notified of this action.' but the service is started and running correctly.

Am i using the wrong method to see whether the Agent Service is running, or
    is there a real problem?
It works correctly for all other customers so I don't get it.

    Regards,
    Sven Peeters

Perhaps a Permission Problem, because DBEngine and SQL Agent run with different (non Admin) Accounts.
