Any pros and cons between the 2

We want to implement clustering for our SQL Servers and debating whether to
use Windows clustering or Veritas Clustering

Please let me know what you all think and which one would be recommended and
    why ?

    This is for SQL 2K

  2. Hi

Have a very close look on how Veritas does it's clustering. It is very
    different to Microsoft's.

Veritas takes 2 independent machines and sort-of sticks them together at
    their driver level.
MCS ties the machines together at the base OS level and they work closer
    together.

Compare the material from Veritas to
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/clustering/default.mspx

I would use MCS, purely from the point that SQL Server is tested and
certified to run on it and you won't have 2 companies blaming each other
    when things don't work.
